Making purchases on eBay using prepaid Debit card through Paypal?
I made a PayPal account and they have already confirmed my card, and I've successfully linked it with eBay. The sellers that I want to buy from prefer PayPal as the form of payment. But I've read in multiple places (including eBay) that sellers usually don't accept prepaid debit cards. So my question is, is my card okay to use or do I need an actual credit card? And will the seller even know what type of card (prepaid, debit) I have? Because a relative told me they couldn't.
My card is a visa by the way (rechargeable). And I have had no trouble using the card on Amazon or any other big sites (walmart, clothing stores, blockbuster/netflix, etc.)
I use my Visa debit card for eBay, via Paypal, so I'm sure you'll be fine, so long as you have enough money on the debit card in the first place.
