Do you have any experience with cloth diapers and soapnuts?
I have to strip my diapers so as soon as my soapnuts get here I'm going to do that then start using the nuts. Has anyone used them with diapers before? If yes did you like them? Any trick or tips? I have mostly bumgenius and happy heiny's. Thanks
To Hannah: I did find them online. I researched a lot to find the best price and that is Green Virgin Products. I'm expecting them today or tomorrow. I can't find them where we are either. Besides our nearest health food store is about 25min away. I've been using Arm & Hammer free and clear and the Purex free & clear but about two weeks ago whenever my son would wet even slightly the diapers would get a horrible ammonia smell. I have enough diapers to wash every 2nd or 3rd day but I can't stand the smell that long.
I'm planning on stripping mine with Dawn. Becareful with the dishwasher method, I have heard that it can be a fire hazard!
I've heard they work well but I haven't used them personally. did you get them online? I can't find them anywhere near us in stores -- if so, what website? I wanted to answer though because I'm currently stripping mine at this very moment! I put mine in the dishwasher without any soap or anything and put it on hot. you can also boil them or if your washing machine gets really hot that'd work too. we've got the same kind as you. the dishwasher worked for them before, but I need something that's a little easier and less time consuming.
eta: good to know, I'll look that place up in a bit. ours have that ammonia smell too and there's 2 that leak with the slightest wetness, so I'm overhauling them and am willing to try everything. and I put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher so they're not near the heating wire 
it is taking a lot time, because I can only fit about 8 at a time in there, but it's working I think! and hopefully I don't catch our house on fire..
